About Us

We have been laying the groundwork for sport since 1991

MEKRA SPORT is a company that has been bringing world-class sports facilities – primarily tennis courts – to Turkey for many years.

We install tennis courts, sports surfaces and facility equipment across Turkey for championships, tournaments, clubs, hotels, schools and private residences. Every stage of the process – from surface selection to drainage, and from lighting to fencing systems – is handled by our own team.

What we have learnt over more than thirty-five years is this: a good court begins not with a good surface, but with a properly prepared foundation. That is why we start every project with an on-site survey, and remain by your side for maintenance and repairs after completion.

Founded in 1991, our company has successfully completed the construction of tennis courts, multi-purpose sports areas and football pitches for numerous tennis clubs, five-star hotels and holiday resorts, prestigious residential developments and corporate sports complexes.

The WTA Women’s World Championships held at the Sinan Erdem Arena in Istanbul (2014–2017) was implemented by MEKRA SPORT using a portable tennis court system specially manufactured in Germany; the matches were played on superb courts that received praise from world-renowned athletes.

With over 35 years’ experience, MEKRA SPORT, which provides its customers with the highest quality service, also sets itself apart through the products it uses in court construction.

The company utilises the Australian-manufactured REBOUND ACE, widely regarded as one of the world’s best flooring systems; the Italian-manufactured MAPEI; and the MEKPRO flooring system, which is produced in Turkey using German raw materials.

Artificial turf pitches are installed using the British-manufactured ‘TIGER TURF’.

The sports accessories used bear the German-manufactured UNIVERSAL SPORTS / COURT ROYAL brand.
