Returns and Withdrawal Terms

This page explains your right of withdrawal and the return process for orders you place on mekra.com as a consumer. The legal basis is Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation; if anything on this page differs from the legislation, the legislation prevails.

1. Right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the day you receive the product, without giving any reason and without paying a penalty. The period starts on the day the product reaches you or a person you designate. If the order is delivered in several parts, the period starts from delivery of the last part. It is enough to send your withdrawal notice within the period.

2. How to give notice of withdrawal

  • If you are a member: in My Account → My Orders, use the return button next to your delivered order to create a request; select the products and your reason and add photos if needed.
  • If you are not a member or prefer written notice: send an e-mail to [email protected] with your order number and contact details, or notify us through our KEP address [email protected] or in writing to Tarabya Mah., Aydınevler Yıldırım Çıkmazı Sk., No: 2/2, 34457, Sarıyer, İstanbul.
  • After receiving your request we give you a return number and tell you how and where to send the product.

3. Sending the product back

  • You must send the product back to us within 10 days of your withdrawal notice.
  • The product must be returned unused and resalable, with all parts, accessories, manuals and invoice and, if possible, in its original packaging. You are liable for any loss of value resulting from use.
  • For heavy or bulky products, contact us before shipping; we will agree a suitable transport method together.
  • Who bears the shipping cost of a return is determined in accordance with the applicable legislation and is communicated to you when your return request is processed.
  • Pack the product well against damage in transit and keep the shipping receipt.

4. Refund

After your withdrawal notice reaches us, provided the product has reached us or proof of dispatch is provided, the amount you paid (including standard delivery costs) is refunded within 14 days at the latest using the payment method you used. For card payments, when the refund appears in your account depends on your bank; for bank transfer payments the refund is made to the IBAN you provide. Extra costs arising from a non-standard, more expensive delivery method you chose are not refunded.

5. Products and services for which withdrawal cannot be used

Under Article 15 of the Distance Contracts Regulation the right of withdrawal cannot be used in particular in these cases:

  • Made-to-measure products: Goods prepared according to the consumer's wishes or personal needs; for example nets, fencing or surface materials cut or made to your size, custom colours or custom-printed products.
  • Installation and services: Services whose performance began, at your explicit request and approval, before the withdrawal period expired; for example site survey, court or surface installation, assembly. Once a service has been fully performed the right of withdrawal ends; if you withdraw after performance has begun, you pay for the part performed up to the time of withdrawal.
  • Opened health and hygiene products: Goods whose packaging, tape or seal has been opened after delivery and which are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons.
  • Mixed products: Goods that after delivery are mixed with other items and by nature cannot be separated.
  • Other cases listed in the Regulation (for example perishable goods or goods whose price depends on financial market fluctuations).

The product page states if a product of this kind cannot be returned; please read this note before ordering. Court and surface construction work is outside the scope of this page and is subject to the terms of the written quote and contract.

6. Damaged and defective products

If a product is delivered damaged, have a report drawn up in the presence of the courier at delivery and tell us immediately. If you later notice that the product is defective, under Law No. 6502 you may choose one of the rights of rescinding the contract, a price reduction, free repair or replacement with a defect-free item; these rights are independent of the withdrawal period. If the wrong product was sent, also tell us; we will arrange the exchange or refund quickly.

7. Exchanges

Instead of a direct exchange, the principle is to withdraw from the existing order and place a new one so that the new product is processed smoothly according to its stock and price. If stock and price allow, our support team can help make an exchange easier.
